WetBird Productions wins two awards in Nashville
WetBird Productions was awarded with two Emmy Awards for its film "Marching Once More" at the MidSouth Emmy Awards in Nashville last weekend. Brenda Hughes and Adam Alphin accepted the award for best documentary/historical film, and Adam Alphin also accepted the award for best editor/program. The film features stories from World War II veterans as they traveled to Belgium and Luxembourg for the 60th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge.
UNC Wilmington professor receives
award of excellence
Michael Messina, a professor of chemistry and biochemistry at UNCW, has been announced as a recipient of a 2012 Excellence in Teaching Award by the Board of Governors of the University of North Carolina system. Messina will accept the award during the UNCW spring commencement exercises.
LM Restaurants hires new vice president
LM Restaurants has announced Mike Liedberg as the company’s new vice president of operations. Lou Moshakos, president and owner of LM Restaurants, hopes that Liedberg will help expand the restaurant brand. Liedberg has been executive vice president of operations for McCormick and Schmick’s Seafood Restaurants.
Intracoastal Realty announces the best of February
Intracoastal Realty Corporation recently announced its top performers for February 2012. Debbie Mitchell won Closed Volume Team of the Month with $4.7 million in sales and Mark Bodford won Closed Volume Agent of the Month for selling $4.2 million. Vance Young won Listing Team of the Month with $13 million in new listings and Paula Ferebee won Listing Agent of the Month with $2.8 million in new listings. Vance Young also won Under Contract Volume Team of the Month with $6.1 million in contracts. Paula Ferebee also won Under Contract Volume Agent of the Month with $2.5 million in contracts.
