DID YOU KNOW?
You don’t have to deprive yourself this holiday season!
Food is a major part of the holiday festivities, it’s when family and friends get to celebrate together. I believe you can still look good and be healthy without depriving yourself. Follow these tips to stay on track during the holiday season:
Be physically active every day; take a brisk walk, it can relieve stress, regulate appetite and burn up extra calories.
Eat a light snack before going to holiday parties; it helps you not to overindulge. For example yogurt, fruit and string cheese.
"DIETS DON’T WORK," so don’t say, "My New Year’s resolution is; I will never let myself eat this food again after Jan.1." You’re setting yourself up for possibly overindulging during the holidays. Moderation and Balance will put you on the track.
Overindulging one day will not make you break your eating plan. I actually encourage my ladies not to deprive themselves. It takes days and days of overeating to gain weight. If you do overindulge over the holidays let it go, don’t dwell. Return to your plan without feeling guilty. What is done is done!
Make your focus on the celebration of family and friends. Laugh and give thanks. No guilt! It’s all right to eat too much once in a while. I do too. Relax, enjoy the holidays and remember what the season is all about.
Happy and Healthy Holidays
