Robert Penn Jr. named certified financial planner
Robert Penn Jr., president and co-owner of Pathfinder Wealth Consulting, earned the certified financial planner designation for his 20 years in the financial industry.
He served as a financial advisor for 13 years before co-founding Pathfinder Wealth Consulting in 2005.
The certification process requires a bachelor’s degree, passing the certified financial planner certification examination and agreeing to meet continuing education requirements.
New Hanover’s Ham top Farm Bureau agent
Matthew D. Ham, a New Hanover County agent for North Carolina Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company, ranked No. 7 on the company’s list of Top 75 Agents for 2013. The agents were ranked by executive vice president and general manager Steven D. Carroll.
Ham was chosen out of a pool of 750 agents across North Carolina. He earned his place on this list because of his outstanding sales record for multi lines of insurance during 2012. This announcement came during the annual sales conference of the Farm Bureau Insurance Companies at the Sheraton Hotel Four Seasons/Joseph S. Koury Convention Center in Greensboro on Feb. 17 and 18.
