Wilmington Plastic Surgery intros new pain relief, CoolFit techniques

Wilmington Plastic Surgery has added the local post-surgery analgesic EXPAREL to its pain management options for patients undergoing surgeries. EXPAREL is the first pain medication that is released to targeted areas as opposed to opioids, which affect the entire body.

WPS is also the first practice in the area to have added the CoolFit technology to its body sculpting capabilities. A noninvasive procedure that uses patented cooling technology to target and eliminate excess fat cells, CoolSculpting works by exposing fat cells to extreme cold, which causes them to crystalize and die off. The CoolFit technology features longer cooling plates for larger treatment surfaces and a flat applicator cup, which is ideal for longer fat bulges.
