Top attorney named
Michael V. Lee of Lee Law Firm was named as a top attorney in 2013 by North Carolina Superlawyers magazine, a title given to less than 5 percent of lawyers in the state. Lee, who has more than 15 years of experience, started his firm in July 2012.
TDA Announces 2013 Board of Directors
Kim Hufham, New Hanover County Tourism Development Authority president and CEO, recently announced the 2013 appointments to the TDA Board of Directors. Two new members who joined the board include Angela Rhodes, co-owner of Catch Modern Seafood Cuisine and Phun Seafood Bar, and Bob Lewis, town of Carolina Beach mayor. New Hanover County Commissioner Jonathan Barfield and board secretary Chuck Pennington, of The Verandas Bed and Breakfast, were reappointed. Other new officers of the TDA Board of Directors include Cape Fear Riverboats’ Carl Marshburn, chairman; Suburban Extended Stay Hotels’ Frank Jones, vice-chairman; Holiday Inn Resorts’ Anne Marie Hartman, member at-large; and NHC Finance Officer Lisa Wurtzbacher, treasurer.
