Assistance League hosts Play at the Beach fundraiser

The Assistance League of Greater Wilmington will hold its 5th annual Play at the Beach at Shell Island Resort on Thursday, Feb. 21, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Guests can play bridge, pinochle, canasta and other card games. Playing cards will be provided, and those who would like to play other games may bring games of their choice. Admission is $25 and includes lunch. 

The Assistance League is a nonprofit, all-volunteer organization that provides humanitarian service to the community through philanthropic programs. The local membership of more than 100 women has volunteered more than 40,000 service hours and touched more than 4,000 people in New Hanover, Brunswick and Pender counties through philanthropic programs in the past year.
