Best named art director
Wilmington landscape painter and graphic designer, Shawn Best, has accepted the position of art director for Wrightsville Beach Magazine and will immediately assume her duties.
Since June, Best has been a leading contributor to the magazine’s graphic design. Her work has covered the July issue, featuring Tarheel Coach Roy Williams; the August issue featuring Elaine Henson’s bathing beauties swimsuit and postcard collections; and the September issue featuring Andy Wood’s barrier island ecology essay.
Wrightsville Beach Magazine publisher Pat Bradford and her staff are ecstatic that Best has agreed to assume the position of art director.
Best holds a BFA, from Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, Va.
