The Wrightsville Beach Board of Aldermen voted unanimously to not allow any form of swimming, including spearfishing, scuba diving or snorkeling within 100 ft. of any commercial fishing piers within the town limits.
In that ordinance change, the town decided to allow spearfishing, scuba diving and snorkeling around Masonboro Jetty; however, swimming within 100 ft. of the jetty is prohibited.
