Amtrak now serving southeastern N.C.

Amtrak will begin providing transportation options and connections to its national train system from eastern North Carolina beginning Oct. 3. To launch this service initiative, Amtrak is planning an inaugural run of the dedicated Thruway Bus Service on Oct. 2. Those traveling by Amtrak from Wilmington will board a bus at the WAVE Transit station and will travel to Wilson, N.C. to board the train.
