Extends outreach to Hampstead
Cape Fear Habitat for Humanity’s second ReStore location will open Saturday, Aug. 11, at 7330 Market St. to serve the Ogden area from the former location of the Furniture Company Store. A grand opening for the ReStore will be held the same day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
CFHH’s ReStore sells donated, household materials at below market price. In the process Habitat recycles usable goods and protects the environment by keeping these gently used items from entering the landfill. A complete list of donated items accepted at the ReStore can be found on its website at www.wilmingtonrestore.org/donate/items-we-love/. The ReStore also offers free donation pickups.
All profits from the ReStore are used to better serve families and build more Habitat homes. In nearby Hampstead, Habitat’s latest build will partner with 10 local area churches to help construct a home for a family in need.
Habitat is now recruiting volunteers to staff its second location, which was designed to better serve a larger portion of New Hanover and Pender counties.
Cape Fear Habitat’s flagship ReStore is located at 1208 S. Third St. and is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The operating hours of the new store are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.
